The uses of infrared lamps produced by Terme Quartz Internazionale are many and varied. The Calabrian company has been involved in the production of quartz ultraviolet and infrared lamps since 1980, and is the only producer of quartz lamps and the machinery and equipment to produce them in Italy.
Thanks to our extensive experience in the industry and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, we are able to design and develop specific modules tailored to our customers' needs. Here are some of the most common uses of IR Quartz Lamps
The use of IR Lamp systems requires safety precautions, such as the installation of protective quartz plates and the implementation of controls to monitor the paper burning temperature.
IR lamps are widely used in almost all stages of paper processing.
Heating with Infrared Quartz Lamps accelerates the absorption of ink into the paper. Medium Wave IR Lamps are used according to the emitted wavelength and infrared absorption properties of water-based inks. Short Wave IR Lamps, with an effective cooling system, are suggested for heating paper without removing residual moisture. Infrared technology improves print quality and facilitates ink fixation on the paper. For UV curing, UV technology is required. Ultraviolet rays quickly dry UV paints, varnishes and adhesives. The choice of the correct UV emission spectrum is crucial to ensure proper drying. Smaller and faster UV printing presses offer energy advantages.
UV lamps are used to sanitise liquids, surfaces and air. UVC lamps can debacterise and treat water and liquids, even generating ozone. UVC and/or ozone lamps are widely used in the sanitisation of air conditioning ducts, surfaces and air treatment.
